“Stonewall: the Temple” Exhibition – Palermo – Palazzo Sant’Elia

The exhibition “Stonewall: the Temple” reaches Palermo, from Friday 5 to Saturday 20 July at Palazzo Sant’Elia.

The opening, in Friday 5, took place in the presence of Shawn Baxter, Head of the Press and Culture Section, Public Affairs Section of the United States Consulate General in Naples, Adham Darawsha, Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Palermo, Antonello Sannino, national councilor of Arcigay Napoli and Daniela Tomasino of Arcigay Palermo.

The exhibition is organized by Arcigay Napoli with the support of the United States Consulate General in Naples, in collaboration with Arcigay Palermo and the Sant’Elia Foundation and with the patronage of the Municipality of Palermo.

On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Stonewall riots, the exhibition pays homage and remembers those protest movements that started the first real revolution of the global LGBT community, through the installation of 30 images, mostly portraits, curated by Gloria Viale.
